Who are we?
Hello 🙂 My name is Izzy, I am a travel enthusiast. I was born in the Philippines and I grew up in Canada. I have travelled all around North America and South East Asia. I have lived in a van, I have had my life in a backpack for months at a time and I am looking to do so much more. I am passionate about art and creating; anything from collages, tattoos, drawings, photography and film. I am also an outdoor enthusiast, I have hiked the Grand Canyon, the Pacific Coast, the Canadian Rockies, the Adirondacks, active volcanoes in Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal; I’m sure you get the picture, I love hiking and travelling. Currently I am preparing for a trip abroad to Europe. My goals for the future is to show my work to anyone who is willing to look. In terms of travel plans I would love to explore Mexico, South America, Africa, China, Antarctica and so much more!
Living in the canadian rockies
On the summer of 2022 after my one year of travelling and living in my Van across Canada and the United States, I had decided I would go back to the Canadian Rockies. I had planned to work and live there, nestled deep around the mountains. Here, I met life long friends, experienced adventures whos stories I still tell, and learned hard truths.
Van Life in Canada and the U.S
After working going to college I had gone straight to the work force, working a career job with great prospects. Things were looking great, and I had all the things that one could qualify for a great life; but one thing was amiss. I was unhappy. To change things up, I quit my job, built a van out and lived in it for a little more than a year. There I travelled through Canada and the U.S., worked a seasonal job, saw the sights, had plenty of time to confront personal issues within myself, and there I decided to live my life differently.
Backpacking south east asia
Ana and I decided to go on an adventure to South East Asia. I had gone 3 months ahead because she still had to finish her semester in university. Here I travelled through the Philippines, lost my phone, met new life long friends, drove a tuk tuk through the night and got in touch with my culture. I also travelled through Indonesia where their waves humbled me, their food impressed me and the people showed me kindness that felt close to home. Other countries I had gone through were Singapore, and Malaysia.
We had finally met up in Bangkok Thailand where we spent the remainder of our trip through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
